Dave has been cruising around the Vancouver, riding with the homies, and stacking clips with his phone. It appears Dave has traded in his potato, for a phone that films some crispy HD! Featuring: Dave himself, Andy McGrath, Jordan Hango, Cory Walsh, James Van De Kamp, Shelby Hare, Jordan Fair, Amos Franke, Chris Smith, Dave Laliberte, Andrew Schubert, Zach Rampen, Randy Moffat, Nik Muryn, and Cary Lorenz. Check it out!
The aboriginal term “Squamish” was originally was used to describe the act of partying on two wheels. Now that the town north of Vancouver has adopted the name, we decided to head up there and pay homage to its roots. Enjoy a rad session featuring: Amos Franke, Cary Lorenz, Dave Butler, Jordan Hango, Mat Ridgeway, Nick Lindstrom, Rasmus Gravesen, Slade Sherer, and Trayle Boss.

Each year, my friends and I pack up a few vehicles and go explore a new part of America. This year, we packed two trucks, two cars and a minivan with 20 people and 19 bikes. The destination was Eastern Oregon, the fourth of July, and the heart of America.

Dave Butler has seen a lot of BMX in his day. At 35, he has more energy and enthusiasm for riding than kids half his age. Dave grew up as part of a quietly thriving Williams Lake scene that included Travis Fontaine and Chad Baba (a local legend to all who saw him ride back then). These days, he bounces back and forth between the Vancouver and Whistler scenes. He’s still exploring, riding new places and learning new tricks at an age when most people have hung the bike up for good.
In July, 15 of us packed a bunch of cars up and took a trip deep into Oregon. We take a trip like this every year and make a point to go somewhere new each time. The trip featured veterans like Alaskan wildman David Clay and newcomers like Dave Butler and Caleb Ruecker (along with many names that you’ll recognize from this site over the years). We bombed hills, roasted magnesium in the campfire, hung out on the dunes, waited on the side of the highway with a broken down minivan and rode some of the weirdest and wildest skateparks the Northwest has to offer.
We’ve got a good amount of content coming from this trip, and up first is a gallery shot by Jason Vawter. Jason shot so many great photos that we’ve left them in a gallery on Flickr for easy viewing. Check the gallery out HERE.
